Where I come from
I come from the stars and the earth—from spirit and matter.
I whakapapa to Tūhoe, raised in Te Urewera, and also to Ngāti Pākehā — Celtic, Irish, Scottish, English, Italian, and French lineages. I often describe myself as a braided river, with many currents arriving for integration in this lifetime.
My life and work are about weaving these streams together — indigenous and Western, feminine and masculine, inner and outer — into a more whole way of being.
My journey
From a young age I’ve been fascinated by what it truly means to be human — how we can live from our wholeness and serve life more fully.
For many years I worked within government and social systems, including as an advisor to the Prime Minister and in experimental policy and innovation roles. That experience showed me that systems themselves carry trauma — and that true change requires healing, not just reform.
I went on to study Jungian and Transpersonal Psychology, somatic therapy, and trauma integration, and trained in Intergenerational and Collective Trauma work. This deepened my understanding that when we follow the source — our essential light and wairua (spirit) — rather than our trauma, we transform both personally and collectively.
Over time, I began to bring this insight into the field of systems change, creating with others at the Centre for Social Impact, Haumanu, a healing-centred approach to how groups and organisations can evolve together in Aotearoa New Zealand. Translating this into deep performing teams and healing centred systems change, internationally and the Pakeha Project .
My philosophy
Healing is not about fixing — it’s about restoring flow.
When energy becomes trapped through trauma, we lose connection: to ourselves, to others, to the earth. Healing happens when we bring love and awareness to what has been cut off, allowing it to move again.
When flow is restored, collaboration and creativity emerge naturally. We stop trying to “be better” and begin to remember that we already belong.
My approach
My practice is both personal and collective. I work with individuals, groups, and teams to help them recognise when they’re operating from trauma — and to shift toward their essential nature, where wisdom, compassion, and possibility live.
I use sound, movement, reflection, inquiry, nature based processes and guided practice to support people in cultivating presence and coherence — in themselves and with others.
Much of my work centres on creating healing fields — group spaces that can sense, evolve, and transform together.
